ii <br /> s ~ s s ~ <br /> _ <br /> <br /> I <br /> May 30, 200 <br /> CONTACT Marcia Peeters, VIP Program Coordinator, 682-4845 <br /> From Public nformation Section, 682-5523 <br /> FOR IMM DIATE RELEASE <br /> TRAIL WORK SCHEDULED SUNDAY AT SPENCER BUTTE <br /> Spen er Butte will be the site of continued volunteer trail work on Sunday, June 4. <br /> Volunteers a'e asked to meet at the main parking lot off Willamette Street at 9 a.m. The work <br /> party is sche ul~d to run until 1 p.m. <br /> Sund y is National Trails Day, and the work being done on Spencer Butte continues a <br /> restoration of ort that began last year. Current efforts include building trail, restoring existing <br /> trail, rehabilit tirag overused areas, closing unwanted side trails, and transporting gravel and other <br /> trail-building materials. <br /> Every ne is welcome, and no experience is necessary. The City of Eugene's Volunteers <br /> in Parks (VIP program supplies tools, materials, leadership and expertise.
