The open house is <br /> <br /> a wonderful opportunity to show everyone from kids to community leaders what services <br /> Public Work employees provide and how they go about keeping our city safe and sound. <br /> It's truly a 1 art~ing experience, and more than 400 students have already signed up for <br /> special tours. Representatives from the Communities of Color and local high school <br /> science and Zath teachers involved in the Apprenticeships in Science and Engineering <br /> also have be n invited to tour the facility and meet with staff. <br /> Parki g is available on a limited basis and we encourage visitors to carpool or use <br /> public transp rt~tion. The LTD 40 Royal stops in front of the maintenance yard every <br /> half-hour an it',is just aten-minute ride from the downtown bus station..
