<br /> News Release SKINNER BUTTE PARK MASTER PLANNING WORKSHOP <br /> April 11, 2000 <br /> Page 2 <br /> . 1 <br /> Due to its history and proximity to the Willamette River and downtown, Ski er Butte <br /> Park has been and continues to be the subject of great community interest and effort. The last <br /> <br /> major planning effort for the park took place in 1967 and focused primarily on the b e. An <br /> updated, comprehensive master plan for the entire park, including the butte, the river, and all <br /> areas in between, will be instrumental in guiding future management and developme t of this <br /> important public resource. <br /> Invitations have been sent to more than 50 organizations listed as potential stakeholders <br /> in the master planning process, as well as thousands of park neighbors and interested parties.
