This Sunday's tour will feature the early-blooming rhododendrons along <br /> with a variety c~f beautiful and humble native and exotic bulbs and tall, showy magnolias. <br /> The park's gardeners will lead free tours every Sunday, rain or shine, from Apri12 through May <br /> 23. The tours Mart at 1 p.m. at the main entrance to the Rhododendron Garden at the top of Skyline <br /> Boulevard in e~st Eugene. <br /> The garrden is located on a hillside, and tours will course through the garden on gravel paths, so <br /> i <br /> dress approprii}tely and wear comfortable shoes. The top of the garden has a fairly even terrain which is <br /> accessible to irjost people in wheelchairs. For other assistance, please call ahead with at least 48 hours <br /> notice to the Public Works Maintenance office at 682-4800. <br /> Tours jusually take about two hours and feature the plants in bloom, which will change from <br /> week to week. The gardeners talk about the history of the park and garden, identify plants and answer <br /> questions. <br /> Due t I the rebuildin of the historic icnic shelter followin last ear's wind storm and the <br /> g P g Y <br /> reconstruction of the garden restrooms, parking is limited in the park this year. Tour participants are <br /> encouraged to car pool.
