Sea Reach Ltd, an Ore on si n com an under contract to the Cit of <br /> g g g P Y Y <br /> Eugene, installed four new signs Wednesday at various points along the recently constructed path <br /> that parallels A I anon Creek. <br /> The sig~s complement the improvements made in the Amazon Creek $nhancement <br /> I <br /> (ACE) project ~nd are designed to inform and educate viewers on the importance of the wetlands <br /> in the area. On sign gives a short overview of what the area was like before it was settled by the <br /> i <br /> pioneers, anoth~r tells the history of the Amazon Creek over the last century, another stresses the <br /> importance oft e wetlands to birds, insects, and native plants, and the fourth offers information <br /> about the Will w Creek Natural Area. As one sign indicates, wet prairie habitat used to cover <br /> much of the Willamette Valley, but now less than 1 percent remains. <br /> All fou>C signs feature vivid color graphics as well as informative text.
