The Maintenance Division's <br /> concrete crew has prepared planting sites on Willamette Street, 5th Avenue and Olive street by <br /> removing sect~ons of concrete sidewalk and excavating to fill the planting holes with good <br /> topsoil. Whitby Lueck, a local tree expert and a member of the Tree Foundation, worked with <br /> I <br /> the Urban For ster's office to coordinate the locations and types of trees to be planted. <br /> Last y ar, Eugene Tree Foundation joined Public Works in a similar joint venture, taking <br /> out sections o concrete sidewalk and installing trees along East 11th Avenue in the vicinity of <br /> Pearl Street.
