Final paving wrapped up earlier this <br /> <br /> week. <br /> Meanw ile, work will begin Monday, June 26, on the installation of new traffic signals at <br /> West 11 `h and yinn, Goodpasture Island Road and Kingsley/Darlene, and Gilham Road and <br /> Crescent Aven~ e. Those signals, being installed by Cherry City Electric under contract to the <br /> City of Eugen ,are being added to address safety and traffic volume issues at those particular <br /> intersections. he initial work will involve excavating for pole bases and underground wiring. <br /> <br /> The signals art anticipated to be operational by late August. Cost of installing the three signals <br /> is estimated at ,342,355 and will be paid for using transportation SDC funds. <br /> Last w ek, the Oregon Department of Transportation activated a new traffic signal at the <br /> intersection of'Roosevelt Boulevard and Danebo.
