Normally one lane of traffic will be maintained
in each direction, although traffic may be limited to one lane at times. Additional repairs are
being made on East 29`h Avenue near Ferry Street.
The sewer repairs are being done by Gelco Services Inc., of Salem, under contract to the
Eugene Public Works Department in the area bounded by Jefferson Street, 26`'' Avenue, Ferry
Street, and 31 S` Avenue. The rehabilitation work typically is done by inserting liners into
existing mainline pipes to avoid digging up the full street. However, the job requires placing
equipment in the travel lanes and doing some excavation.
For up-to-date information about local construction projects, call the City of Eugene
traffic relief hotline at 984-8484, or on the Internet at www.ci.eugene.or.us/pw/traffic,
# # #

II Public Works • Administration • City of Eugene • 858 Pearl Street • Eugene, OR 97401

i Phone: (541) 682-5262 • FAX: (541) 682-6826 • www.ci.eugene.or.us
