-G ~ ~ ~ i ~ <br /> . - r r - ~ <br /> August 24, 2000 <br /> CONTACT: Bud DeSantis, Project Manager, 682-5230 <br /> From Public Information Section, 682-5523 <br /> FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE <br /> TRAFFIC ADVISORY <br /> LANE CLOSURES CONTINUE ON SIXTH AND SEVENTH AVENUES <br /> Construction-related delays will continue for at least another week on Sixth and Seventh <br /> avenues from Oak to Olive streets as progress continues on a project to build new crosswalks. <br /> On Sixth Avenue, most of the work on the south side of the street has been completed, <br /> <br /> j~ and on Seventh Avenue, work is nearing completion on the south side of the street. On both <br /> streets, through traffic will continue to be limited to two lanes while crews continue concrete <br /> work on the north sides of the intersections at Oak; Willamette and Olive streets. The project is <br /> anticipated to be substantially completed by early to mid-September. <br /> Pedestrian crossings in the work zones on both Sixth and Seventh remain closed during <br /> construction.
