Sponsored by the City of Eugene, LTD's Commuter
Solutions, Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Eugene, Inc., and Lane
Regional Air Pollution Authority, Commute Challenge 2000 has over 100 participating
businesses, agencies and schools already signed up to compete for coveted trophies on
October 5th. Employees can walk, bus, bicycle or carpool to work; any method except
driving alone will be counted.
There's still time to sign up. Call Molly Elder at 682-5227, or check out the
website at www.ci.eugene.or.us. Coordinators get free T-shirts, and LTD has donated
free bus passes for the whole week. Businesses that send out a personal challenge to a
neighbor or rival business really get into the spirit of the challenge. AccuTel, Inc. says
they are going to win the competition with their Country Club Road neighbor, Pentagon
Federal Credit Union.
Public Works • Administration • City of Eugene • 858 Pearl Street • Eugene, OR 97401
Phone: 541 682-5262 • FAX: 541 682-6826 • www.ci.eu ene.or,us

i ( ) ( ) 9
