In addition, the realignment will provide room for future runway expansion at <br /> Eug~ne Airport. <br /> he changes will affect motorists driving to or from the airport from the north. Motorists connecting to <br /> rJre n Hill Road via Meadowview Lane or Awbrey Lane will need to continue on the new roadway to Airport <br /> Roa to reach the airport. Awbrey Lane will be closed west of the new Green Hill Road alignment. For now it <br /> will be used as an airport maintenance service road, and it will be ultimately removed to allow future airport <br /> run ay construction. <br /> 11 traffic leaving the airport will be required to go south to Airport Road. Northbound traffic then can <br /> pro eed east on Airport Road to either the new Green Hill Road or Highway 99. <br /> he $1.9 million realignment project was designed and managed by Lane County Public Works <br /> De artment. Ninety percent of the funding for the project came from the Federal Aviation Authority's Airport <br /> Im ovement Program, and 10 percent came from Eugene Airport funds.
