PRE RELEA E <br /> For immediate release <br /> Date: December 22, 2000 <br /> To: Eugene Media Contacts <br /> From: Eugene Airport <br /> Re: Parking at the Eugene Airport <br /> Parking will be very limited between now and January 1, 2001 due to bowl and holiday activity. <br /> Travelers should attempt to make other parking arrangements such as: <br /> 1) Get a ride to the airport. <br /> 2) Take a taxi. <br /> 3) Use the door-to-door shuttle. <br /> The best way to explain our parking situation is: "Avoid bringing your car to the airport if at <br /> all possible. " <br /> Those who do park at the airport should expect some waits for shuttle service between the <br /> overflow parking lot and the terminal building. You may want to arrive at least two hours prior <br /> to your flight to allow for the additional shuttle time. Unloading bags at the terminal prior to <br /> parking will help expedite your shuttle trip. Long term parking is $6.00 per day or $36.00 for a <br /> 7-day week. <br /> Other travel tips: <br /> 1) Check very little or no luggage, use carry-ons.
