Mgr., 682-5663 (Hiring Process) <br /> FOR IMMED ATE RELEASE <br /> i <br /> CITY HIRES PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR <br /> City anager Jim Johnson has selected Kurt Corey of Billings, Montana as the top <br /> ranked candi ate to serve as the Executive Manager of the Public Works Department. Corey <br /> served as th Public Works Director in Billings for the past three years, where he oversees five <br /> divisions, 12 employees and a total annual budget of $34 million. <br /> Durin the first week in January, city Human Resources staff will travel to Billings to <br /> conduct a sit visit and interviews as part of the hiring process. The site visit is standard <br /> procedure fo hiring at the executive level, says Human Resources and Risk Services Executive <br /> ~ Manager La ren Chouinard. Pending a positive outcome of the site visit, City Manager Jim <br /> Johnson will finalize his offer to Corey. If Corey accepts, the city expects that he would begin <br /> I <br /> work within 0 to 90 days. Eugene's Public Works Department has six divisions with <br /> approximate y 415 employees and an annual operating budget of $44 million. <br /> John on is looking forward to the arrival of his new executive. "Kurt's addition to the <br /> executive to m is highly anticipated.
