Congress approved legislation, "AIR Zl," increasing funds for airports <br /> nationwide. eFazio was part of the negotiating team on the legislation and was active in the <br /> debate over a fcxndiag. Under the legislation, Euger~'s airport will receive an entitlomertt <br /> grant of $Z, 6,474 for 2x02, Which is based on the zrumber of flights. This is double the old <br /> allotmetu of 1,262,237 for 2001. The legislation also included hinds for discretionary grants, <br /> awarded ott competitive basis, with safety improvements given the highest priority. <br /> ATR 1 is a three-year bill that will increase aviation investment by $IO billion over <br /> currant level ,with the lion's share of the tltndittg going to radar modernization and muchr <br /> needed airp construction projects.
