A seri s of community outreach efforts began in February 2001 to involve Eugene residents in d veloping a new concept and management plan for Rasor Park, an undeveloped 10-acre parc~l that is part of the riverfront park system between the lower end of River Road and the Willa ~I ette River. Outreach efforts to date have included an initial workshop on February 15, neighborhood survey, a web site, and postcards, posters, advertisements, and news release . The a~enda for the June 28 master plan workshop includes a review of the last I workshop results, discussion of a vision statement, goals, and policies for the park, and discussion of draft design concepts. Participants will also have an opportunity to brainstorm a new name for Ithe park. Input the workshop will be used by Public Works Parks Planning staff and a consultant tea to develop a draft version of the park master plan, which is expected to be available for r view in late summer.
