If more than three <br /> applications a e received for either committee, committee members will be drawn by lot. <br /> Mayor Jim To ey will appoint committees to write statements of support for the measures. <br /> The E gene City Council on Sunday agreed to place two measures on the November 6, <br /> i <br /> 2001, special lection ballot. One measure asks whether the City should take actions to <br /> facilitate const uction of the West Eugene Parkway, and the other asks if the City should <br /> address trans ortation problems in west Eugene with projects other than the West Eugene <br /> Parkway. Should both measures pass in the vote-by-mail election, the measure receiving the <br /> most votes wil prevail. Only registered city of Eugene voters are eligible to vote in the election. <br /> The Ci y has prepared ballot titles and 175-word explanations for each of the measures. <br /> The ballot info motion can be viewed on the Internet at www.ci.eugene.or.us. <br /> Each committee is charged with writing a statement of opposition for one of the ballot <br /> measures. P rsons interested in serving on the committees may obtain the required <br /> application for s from the City Recorder's Office, 777 Pearl Street, Room 105, Eugene, OR, <br /> 97401; phone II 682-5042; email: eugene.city.recorder@ci.eugene.or.us. <br /> Citizen also may place arguments in the voters pamphlet for or against either measure. <br /> For information on the process, please contact the City Recorder's Office. <br /> <br />
