i
I
'PRESS RELEASE
To: Lo al Media ~~~~01
i
From: Di a Bell, Eugene Airport
I
Though we h ve not received any written confirmation, we understand that the FAA has
extended the oratorium on flights. Therefore, no flights will be arriving or departing from the
Eugene Airp rt today and there is no information available at this time regarding flights for
tomorrow. e will keep you advised as we receive additional information. Passengers are
encouraged t contact their airlines to help accommodate reticketing: America West: 1-800-235-
9292; Horizo : 1-800-547-9308; United Airlines: 1-800-241-6522.
When flights esume, passengers need to be aware of possible increased security measures,
including no nattended vehicles at the terminal loading/unloading curb (violators will be cited
and towed), s ort term parking changes, and heightened passenger screening procedures
(including tic eted passengers only beyond the security screening point).
We have rec ived information that there are strong indications that when the airspace does open,
it will only b for commercial airline traffic. This means that general aviation activity will not be
allowed until the airlines are back in operation safely.

'
I
