A ceremony will take place on September 18, 2001 at <br /> 12:30 p.m. at t e Bureau of Land Management's Wetlands Field Office at 751 South Danebo St. <br /> The Lo er Amazon Project includes nearly 400 acres of public land, of which 236 acres <br /> have been rest red over the last two years by staff from the Corps, City, BLM, and The Nature <br /> Conservancy. The final phase of the $6.5 million project includes construction of an overlook <br /> along Greenhil Road which will include covered wildlife viewin structures, restrooms, icnic <br /> g P <br /> <br /> ~ tables, parking, and interpretive signage. Construction of the overlook, as well as the major <br /> <br /> ~I~ extension of th~ Fern Ridge Bike Path, will begin this month. <br /> Work o the 400 acre site will continue in the coming years to complete restoration <br /> through the We t Eugene Wetlands Mitigation Bank.
