~ ~ ~ ~ <br /> - ~ - <br /> October 19, 2 01 <br /> CONTACT: Tom Larsen, Traffic Engineer, 682-8450 <br /> From Public I ormation Section, 682-5523 <br /> FOR IMMEDI TE RELEASE <br /> PAVING EPAIRS WILL CLOSE LANES ON FERRY STREET BRIDGE NEXT WEEK <br /> Warra ty repair work is scheduled on the Ferry Street Bridge and viaduct next week, <br /> weather perm ing. <br /> Mowat Construction has scheduled night paving work on the bridge October 22 and 23 <br /> ar7d again on ctober 26. On Monday and Tuesday, workers are scheduled to construct a thin <br /> asphalt overt on the south half of the southbound lanes of the bridge to correct several <br /> surface probl ms. The company anticipates closing the curb lane Monday night and the inside <br /> lane Tuesday night. Traffic control will go into effect at 7 p.m. both nights, and the lanes will <br /> reopen the fo lowing morning. <br /> The s cond piece of work is repairing the concrete surface at the south end of the <br /> viaduct. Wor is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Friday, October 26. All southbound traffic will be <br /> detoured ont the Sixth Avenue exit.
