~ ~ is .O <br /> October 30, 2 01 <br /> CONTACT: Johnny Medlin, Parks and Open Space Division Manager, 682-4800 <br /> From Public I formation Section, 682-5523 <br /> FOR 1MMEDl TE RELEASE <br /> PARKING TO E REGULATED IN ALTON BAKER PARK FOR UO HOME FOOTBALL GAMES <br /> To ke Alton Baker Park open for park users during UO football home games at <br /> Awtzen Stadiu ,parking in the park will be regulated on Saturday, November 3, and Saturday, <br /> December 1. <br /> Parkin will be reserved for non-football vehicles in a portion of the main paved lot by <br /> <br /> ~iiir the park entra ce and at the off-leash dog park and the community gardens area. City staff will <br /> direct football raffic to designated parking areas, which will cost $3 a space. Staff will also <br /> strictly enforc the regulations that prohibit parking on the grass in the park. <br /> Thep rking regulations are intended to protect the fragile natural resources in the park <br /> and to provid a reasonable level of access for people who use the park, including the picnic <br /> area, the run ing trail, the garden, and the off-leash area, during home games. <br /> Footb II fans are encouraged to use shuttle bus service or walk or bike to the stadium to <br /> avoid parking problems.
