The park is located at the intersection of Barber Drive and Shadow <br /> Wood Drive, ff East 43`~ Avenue. <br /> Mayor Jim Torrey and Councilor Betty Taylor will be on hand for the event, which <br /> includes Ares ntations, recognition of the volunteers who participated in the park project, a <br /> hopscotch de onstration on an artist-designed hopscotch court, and refreshments. <br /> Shad w Wood Park, Eugene's newest neighborhood park, traces its history back more <br /> than 12 year ,when the City purchased eight lots from a new subdivision and designated the <br /> area as a fut re park. Over the years, neighbors have worked closely with City staff in <br /> designing th park, dealing with issues, raising funds, and even helping construct the park. A <br /> sign listing th names of all the people who have volunteered or made donations will be erected <br /> as part of the dedication. <br /> The ain construction activities at the park occurred last summer.
