The group adopted the rose garden as a comm 'ty I, <br /> service 1 roj ect in 1999. ~ <br /> I i partnership with the City of Eugene, the group has accomplished seve al ~I <br /> p: ~oje~;ts .n the past couple of years including decorating the garden with trellise ,rose <br /> b~ ;d b orc ers and just last year a large pergola to adorn the walkway with climbin roses. <br /> E .ccording to the Owen Rose Garden master plan, the gazebo will be si ted in <br /> tl a hi;ar of the rose garden and accessible to wheelchair users. A new concrete d brick <br /> v alic~ wa: • will lead visitors through the rose-covered pergola to the new gazebo. he <br /> g ~zet?o ~ vill provide visitor, a comfortable place to sit and enjoy the garden as 11 as a <br /> g ~.r~3e n ~ etting for outdoor events, such as weddings. <br /> ' 'he total cost of the project is estimated at $62,000. A minimum of $20, 00 is ~I~ <br /> n eed~;d ~ Before the gazebo c.an be ordered.
