Main St. The bridge is on I-5 about two miles south of <br /> Creswell. <br /> Th design-build project team of Holm it / CH2M Hill Constructors, under contract with <br /> thE Orego Department of Transportation, is hosting the meeting. The project team will present <br /> the const coon schedule and tell travelers what they can expect while driving through the work <br /> <br /> ~ ' zone Burin roughly the next two years. <br /> Th $5.7 million project is one of many funded by the Oregon Transportation lnvestment <br /> Act that s rt construction statewide this summer. <br /> Fr m June through August, the contractor plans to build a southbound temporary bridge <br /> between a existing northbound and southbound I-5 lanes. Southbound traffic will then be <br /> routed ont the detour bridge. <br /> Th construction work is designed to cause minimal traffic interruptions. There may be <br /> j times whe traffic would be restricted to one lane. But the contractor plans to do any lane <br /> i <br /> j restriction only during the week and only at night- between $ p.m. and 6:30 a.m. <br /> In eptember, the contractor will start demolishing the old southbound bridge and <br /> rebuilding new one. The new bridge will be about three feet higher than the old bridge to avoid <br /> high water and flooding problems. <br /> Th new bridge should be open to traffic in spring 2004. <br /> Th final phase includes removing the temporary detour bridge.
