Sunday, crews will begin grinding off the top layer of asphalt using a process <br /> called "roto filling." This process will last at least a week. Starting Monday, the work area will <br /> be split into o zones: Azalea to Corliss, with the work occurring at night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.; <br /> and Corliss o Maxwell, with the work occurring during the day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. <br /> j <br /> Duri g construction hours, River Road may be reduced to one travel lane in each <br /> direction thr ugh the work areas, and the ramps at River Road and Beltline may be closed for <br /> periods at n ght. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to avoid delays. Travelers, <br /> <br /> 1 <br /> particularly otorcyclists and bicyclists, should watch for rough surfaces and abrupt edges in <br /> work zones <br /> Afte the top layer of paving has been removed, crews from Wildish Construction will <br /> grind off a econd layer of paving and then place a base layer of new asphalt paving, followed <br /> by a final s rfacing of new paving. <br /> Th paving repairs began in early July and are scheduled to be completed by August <br /> 31.
