The closure i required to pave a portion of a third lane being constructed on I-105 from the Delta Highway to t e Sixth Avenue off-ramp at the foot of the Washington-Jefferson Street Bridge. Wil 'sh Construction began work in May on a $920,000 state highway safetyproject to provide I anew lane f traffic merging onto westbound I-105 from southbound Delta Highway. The work being done August 22-26 involves replacing the existing asphalt shoulder surface with a new concrete lane, including t' e for the concrete to cure sufficientlyto accommodate traffic. Fdlowing the concrete lane surfacing w k, Wildish is scheduled to continue with shoulder paving and barrier work through August i 30. That wo k will be done between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. and should not significantly affect daytime traffic. The bridge 'dening portion of the project will continue into the fall of the year, with the entire project scheduled f completion around mid-November 2002. Mot rists are cautimed to observe the 45 mph speed limit on this section of I-105. During the onramp clos re, traffic fran the Valley River area can reach the davntown area by using Delta Highway ~ to I-105 eas ound to the Coburg Road exit and the Ferry Street Bridge.
