STUDENTS PLANT TREES AND NATIVE PLANTS THIS WEEKEND <br /> Rain r shine, on Saturday January 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., a group of high school <br /> students fro St. Mary's Episcopal Church will help beautify their community from east to west. <br /> One group Il be digging holes and planting 20 oak trees along City View Street between the <br /> sidewalk an street outside of Westmoreland Elementary. On the other side of town at Alton <br /> Baker Park, nother group will be digging up blackberries and planting native plants at the <br /> ponds in fro t of the Science Factory. The City of Eugene's NeighborWoods program is <br /> coordinating the tree planting, and the Stream Team Program is coordinating the habitat <br /> restoration roject. <br /> Neig borWoods is a volunteer program that brings together neighbors, businesses and <br /> other group to plant and care for street trees. The Stream Team Program offers volunteers the <br /> opportunity o restore, care for and team more about the aty's waterways and natural areas.
