FqR IMMED TE RELF~4SE _ ~ - - - - <br /> BOYS000TS AND OTHER VOLUNTEERS TO PLANT TREES <br /> IN THE WHITF_AICER NEIGHBORHOOD THIS SATURDAY <br /> Qn ednesday, March 15, from 9 a.m. to noon, boy scouts from cub scout pac 23 and <br /> 260 will join the City of Eugene's NeighborWoods and Volunteers in Parks programs, and <br /> members o the Eugene Tree Foundation to plant trees in the Whiteaker neighborhood at 1542 <br /> W. 1`t Aven e. Volunteers can meet in the parking lot of the Public Works Maintenance Facility <br /> at 1820 R sevelt Boulevard to load trees at 9 a.m. or directly at the site. <br /> Ail t ols and gloves will be provided by the City for this planting effort. Volunteers should <br /> wear sturd shoes and dress for the weather. The trees for this project are being donated by <br /> i <br /> Roseburg onest Products (100 ponderosa pine seedlings) and the Weyerhaeuser Company <br /> (125 Dougl s fir seedlings}. <br /> Ne ghborWoods is a volunteer program that brings together neighbors, businesses and <br /> other gro s to plant and care for street trees. Volunteers in Parks organizes volunteers to work <br /> on proje to enhance City parks and natural areas.
