Parks <br /> crews re oved the old playground equipment and laid out the plans for the new <br /> playgroun last week, and the Public Works Maintenance concrete crew began <br /> excavatio on Tuesday, August 12. When the concrete is ready to be poured, a group <br /> of neighb rs has volunteered to help the concrete crew ensure the concrete sets <br /> properly. Once the foundation is complete, the park will be dressed up with new <br /> j, benches, picnic table, pathways, spring riders, and a play structure that includes <br /> I,I climbing f atures and slides. Volunteers will also work side-by-side with parks crews to <br /> install the pring riders and play structure. The spring riders were made possible by a <br /> City of Eu ene Neighborhood Matching Grant and fundraising by the local community. <br /> "The volun eers will play an important role in creating a new park in their neighborhood," <br /> says Park Amenities Supervisor Richard Zucker.
