The tree planting will take place at 10 a.m. at the corner of 16~' Avenue <br /> and Feny Stre t, where a street tree was burned in a riot last September. Neighbors are <br /> ~ encouraged to join the festivities and take part in the effort to beautify their neighborhood. <br /> Dumpsters an pick-up trucks will be available to haul trash and yard debris, and tools far raking <br /> and planting II also be available for those who would like to do a little gardening, Refreshments <br /> will be served t Central Presbyterian Church at 1475 Feny Street, The event is expected to last <br /> i <br /> until 3 p,m. <br /> Then ighborhood clean up and tree planting was conceived and organized by the West <br /> University Ta k Force that wnvened after a riot took place in the neighborhood last year in which <br /> a street tree nd trash can were burned. The purpose of the task force and this event is to create <br /> stronger ties i the community in order to prevent episodes of violence in the future.
