"The purpose of all of.our projects at Owen Rose Garden has been to imp ve the <br /> quality of life for Eugeneans," says Paul Peschiera, Eugene Delta Rotary project word nator. <br /> "We are hoping that the gazebo will encourage visitors to linger in the shade of the ga en and <br /> gather for family events in this beautiful rose garden by the river." <br /> Since the group adopted Owen Rose Garden as a community service project i 1999, <br /> members have donated more than 2,500 hours of planning, coordination and physical abor to <br /> the beautification of the public garden next to the Willamette River.
