NE S RELEASE <br /> To: edia Contacts <br /> From: iana Bell <br /> June 5, 2003 <br /> For Im ediate Release <br /> Third nited Express Flight to Denver starts on July 6, 2003 <br /> <br /> i <br /> New S edule adds Denver flight <br /> <br /> ~I United xpress is adding a third daily non-stop flight between the Eugene Airport <br /> and De ver starting July 6, 2003. This new flight will depart from Eugene at 8:00 <br /> AM; a additional flight back from Denver will arrive in Eugene at 9:50 PM. Both <br /> flights ill use regional jets with a capacity of 50 passengers adding a total of 100 <br /> seats a ay to the Eugene Airport flight schedule. <br /> Accord ng to Bob Noble, Eugene Airport Manager, more seats to Denver have been <br /> needed as flights reached 93% of capacity in May, a good indicator of the strong <br /> deman for this additional service. Noble notes that this service will provide <br /> additio al opportunities for passengers with east coast destinations, as flights will <br /> depart rom Eugene at 6:00 AM, 8:00 AM, and 2:15 PM. <br /> This m rks the fourth increase in flights for Eugene travelers since January, 2003, <br /> followi g the addition of one daily America West Express non-stop flight to Las <br /> Vegas i March, an additional Horizon Air flight to Los Angeles in April, and <br /> United xpress's addition of a sixth daily non-stop to San Francisco in May. This <br /> means hat since January flights have increased by 15% per day and seat capacity <br /> has inc eased by 17%. <br /> Bob N le adds that he is anticipating a good local response and confident that <br /> passen er traffic for the summer season will increase for all carriers in Eugene. <br /> <br /> ~i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />
