Work will take place in the forest around the recently restored <br /> historic oa knoll trail in the park. All volunteers are invited to meet at the F.M. Wilkins Shelter <br /> on Summit venue at 9:30 a.m. for pastries, juice and coffee courtesy of Eugene City Bakery <br /> and the Fri nds of Hendricks Park before the work begins. <br /> Ac ss to the work site is greatly improved, thanks to the hard work of volunteers who <br /> built a new trail over the course of the past few months. Non-native, invasive plant removal is <br /> an importa t component of the Hendricks Park Forest Management Plan, which, through <br /> partnershi with the community such as the Friends of the Hendricks Park, seeks to achieve a <br /> healthy, re ilient and sustainable forest. <br /> Too s and equipment will be provided, and work clothes, rain gear and shoes, such as <br /> long-sleev d shirts, long pants and sturdy shoes or boots, are recommended.
