Funds from the 1998 Parks and Open Space bond measure are <br /> available to provide some improvements to south Eugene's most popular and heavily-used <br /> park. <br /> Over 6 community members attended the first workshop in September. A draft <br /> i <br /> developme t plan is being created, based on the diverse input gathered at the first meeting. The <br /> plan will ide tify long-range and short-range priorities for the park and wi11 be the focus of <br /> discussion t the next workshop. The current Amazon Park planning process is designed to <br /> prioritize im rovement projects to help determine how to spend the available bond measure <br /> funds and u date the existing master plan, based on more current public input. <br /> The co munity park includes a large playground, pool facility, ballfields, a running trail, bike <br /> path, off-lea h dog park, skatepark, and natural areas.
