Funds from the 1998 Parks and Open Space bond measure <br /> are availabl to provide some improvements to south Eugene's most popular and heavily-used <br /> park. <br /> Over 6 community members attended the first workshop in September. A draft development plan, <br /> based on th diverse input gathered at the first meeting and additional input, will be presented <br /> at tomorrow s meeting. The plan identifies long-range and short-range priorities for the park. <br /> The cur ent Amazon Park planning process is designed to prioritize improvement projects <br /> to help dete ine how to spend the available bond measure funds and update the existing <br /> master plan based on more current public input. <br /> The co munity park includes a large playground, pool facility, ballfields, a running trail, bike <br /> path, off-lea h dog park, skatepark, and natural areas.
