Ridding the forest of invasive weeds is one of the main
objectives the Hendricks Park Forest Management Plan. Following up with removal of re-sprouted roots through
these subs uent volunteer work parties is essential for maintaining the cleared areas.
T Is and equipment will be provided, and work clothes, rain gear and shoes, such as
long-sleev d shirts, long pants and sturdy shoes or boots, are recommended. The last two
j volunteer ork parties this winter are scheduled on Jan. 10 and Feb. 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 1
p.m. For ore information, call 682-5324, 607-4066 or visit www.friendsofhendridcspark.orQ.
~
