The general contractor, Morris P. Kielty, moved in <br /> several m dular buildings to house Amtrak while the depot is being renovated. The <br /> "bunkhous a small structure built in the late 19th century, was moved to the southwest <br /> side of the station lot that the City of Eugene acquired last summer. Eventually, the <br /> bunkhous will be rei'itted as a train crew support facility and moved to a more <br /> permanen location at the northwest corner of the depot site. <br /> Wh n the depot reopens in the fall of 2004, it will function better as a modem <br /> facility, m ting a variety of transportation needs while honoring the area's architectural <br /> and civic h ritage.
