The i media and public are invited to attend and learn more about the RiverPlay project. With pledges of support from local service organizations, park planners talked to children, parents, and other interested community members at the Eugene Celebration, area schools, and a public workshop this past fall and designed two different but complementary playgrounds, connected by the Willamette River-one at Skinner Butte Park and one at Alton Baker Park. The project is funded in part from the parks and open space bond measure and grants, but, in order to realize the full scope of the vision, donations of cash, labor and materials are needed from the community.
