Volunteers may also <br /> continue to ull English ivy and other invasive plants. Interested volunteers are asked to meat at <br /> the F.M. Wi kins Shelter on Summit Avenue at 9:30 a.m. to enjoy pastries, coffee and juice <br /> i <br /> courtesy of he Eugene City Bakery and the Friends of Hendricks Park before heading to the <br /> I <br /> forest and ails. <br /> The oak knoll trail, that volunteers helped build last spring and summer, was particularly <br /> hard hit by he storm, with five or six trees falling across it. The trail leads to an oak knell In the <br /> southwest comer of the park that represents a highly sensitive remnant of Willamette Valley <br /> oak wood) ds habitat, a globally endangered forest type. <br /> 'i <br /> T sand equipment will be provided, and work clothes, rain gear and shoes, such as <br /> long-sleev d shirts, long pants and sturdy shoes or boots, are recommended.
