The City of Eugene NeighborWoods program and <br /> their local ee planting partner, Eugene Tree Foundation, who will coordinate the effort on <br /> I <br /> Saturday, entified the site as an area that needs trees last year and contacted local Boy Scout <br /> troop #17 about the project. <br /> "N ighborWoods would like to thank Eugene Tree Foundation and local Boy Scout <br /> Troop #1 7 for helping get Willamette Valley native species planted in an area that was lacking <br /> trees," sa s Rick Oikowski, NeighborWoods program coordinator. <br /> O her interested volunteers are welcome to join the boy scouts in their community <br /> in leaf <br /> I service roject. The project involves digging planting holes, planting the trees and apply g <br /> mulch to the islands over a 200-foot area.
