Based on input from citizens <br /> and staff, th site was in need of a redesign because key information, such as park maps, and <br /> the organiza ion, aesthetics and lay-out of the site were lacking or out of date. <br /> The ew site sports a clean look with bright, vivid photographs and consistent fomtiatting <br /> i <br /> and graphi elements; a new organizational structure that offers several navigational paths to <br /> help visito more readily access the information they're looking for; and nearly double the <br /> f number of ages of the old site. One of the new features available on the site includes "Find a <br /> Park by A enities," which allows visitors to select specific amenities and geographical regions <br /> to find a p rk that meets their search criteria. Another new feature is a calendar of events that <br /> includes a Parks and Open Space-sponsored events, such as park planning workshops, <br /> volunteer rojects, and park opening events. <br /> Vi hors to the site can find out about a diverse stray of information on the over 200 <br /> pages on a site.
