NEWS RELEASE <br /> FOR IMMEDI TE DISTRIBUTION <br /> CONTACT: Eugene Airport <br /> Bob Noble, Airport Manager <br /> 682-5430 <br /> De a Connection Carrier to Begin New Service from Eugene, Oregon <br /> to Salt Lake City Hub <br /> EUGENE, RE., Feb. 23, 2004-- Delta Connection carrier SkyWest will offer customers new service <br /> between Eu ene, Ore., and Delta Air Lines' (NYSE: DAL) Salt Lake City hub beginning May 1, 2004. <br /> SkyWest wil operate two daily round-trip flights between Eugene and Salt Lake City with the popular 50- <br /> seat Bomba dier CRJ regional jets. The preliminary schedule includes a 6:30 AM and a 1:10 PM <br /> departure fr m Eugene and arrivals in Eugene at 12:30 PM and 9:25 PM. <br /> "W are pleased to offer customers in Oregon convenient travel options to Salt Lake City and <br /> beyond, an bring the world to the beautiful Northwest," said Fred Buttrell, president and chief executive <br /> officer of D Ita Connection, Inc. <br /> "Th is great news for Eugene, Springfield and the surrounding communities," said Bob Noble, <br /> manager of the Eugene Airport. "We now offer additional East-bound connections, access to Delta's <br /> worldwide n twork and a schedule that accommodates business purposes." <br /> Cu tourers traveling through Delta's hub at Salt Lake City International Airport may choose from a <br /> convenient election of more than 296 flights to 68 domestic and international destinations on Delta, Delta <br /> Connection carriers and other Delta partners. <br /> Eu ene was considered for new service based on market demand and the incentives derived <br /> from a "tra I bank", a revenue guaranty, and marketing assistance. "I want to extend my greatest <br /> s appreciatio to all of those who participated in the successful acquisition of a new airline to add to the <br /> travel optio s from Eugene," Noble added. The new service is a result of a collaborative effort between <br /> the City of ugene, the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce, a number of local businesses, the Eugene <br /> <br /> i Airport and Salt Lake City Airport, the Oregon Department of Aviation, and support from Fourth District <br /> Represent tive Congressman Peter DeFazio. <br /> <br />
