In the event of he vy rain or to complete the project, another work party wilt be held Sunday, February u 29, from no n to 4 p.m. NA GS volunteers helped establish and plant the garden in the late 1990s with a major grant from ARGS, donations of materials and plants from the local NARGS chapter and i assistance 'th site preparation, irrigation installation and signage from City parks crews. The group ~org izes work parties to maintain the garden on a quarterly basis, with monthly weeding during the rowing season. Sebring Rock Garden was featured in Rock Garden Design and Constructi n, a NARGS publication published in 2003. On the agenda for this work party is cleaning up and weeding the garden, top-dressing the beds, nd replanting, including possibly planting heathers in the lowest bed.
