With the exuberance often associated with ew
businesses, the Brawns began to chaage the look and feel of the gift shop concessions at
Eugene a little at a time, adding to the selections, increasing reading options, and
incorporating new display techniques.
Last fall, Emerald City News and Gifts successfully remodeled the upstairs gift shop,
adding a new store front, new lighting, and new displays that changed the look and appeal
of that store, significantly updating the concourse area. Anxious to maintain their
momentum and complete their vision of what they wanted for local travelers, planning
soon began for the remodel of the main store located in the lobby area. lust over two
weeks ago, Dan and Carolyn began to work on the creation of a gift shop that they
envisioned as an attractive "total package", drawing passengers into the retail space where
they will not only find specific items they want, but will be presented with an
extraordinary array of other fine goods specifically targeted to meet their needs as air
travelers.

i
The fmal touches have~been taken care of, and the doors to the new store are now open to
the public. At first glance, it is abundantly clear that the Brawns have succeeded in their
overall desire - "to provide Eugene air passengers with everything they want, expect and
deserve from a retail concession".
If you' d like more information, please feel free to contact Dan Brawn at 689-6641.
