Ginny Alfrien ,Hendricks Park gardener and resident native <br /> plant expert, will lead a tour of the native pl t garden at 11 a.m., and Roger Gossler, owner of <br /> Gossier Farms Nursery and nationally kn magnolia expert, will lead a tour of the magnolias <br /> in the fiododendron garden, conside ~ one of the best collections in the northwest, at 1 p.m. <br /> All tours begin at the F. M. Wilkins alter at 2200 Summit Avenue and last about an hour. <br /> ~ Michael Robert, former he d gardener at the park, has witnessed spring unfold at the <br /> park for over 20 years and des bas it like th' : "The canopy of magnolias, crowning over the <br /> rhododendrons, appears as cloud of pastels, nd the early fiododendrons add to a circus of <br /> color, in conjunction with a many bulbs and pe nnials on the ground.
