The meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. <br /> at Petersen m, 870 Bertzen in the Bethel area. <br /> The raft plan was developed based on input gathered from residents at the initial public <br /> workshop h id last October. The plan reflects the following key input: <br /> • mai fain a dog off-leash area on part of the park <br /> • enh nce a small open waterway that runs diagonally through the park site. This <br /> wat sway is part of a larger system that is being enhanced, the Greenhill Tributary. <br /> • plan native vegetation and create wildlife habitat <br /> • cre a walking and jogging trails, a playground, picnic shelter, and space for <br /> nei boyhood gatherings <br /> • mai fain the feeling of openness in the park <br /> The park, ich is surrounded by a new subdivision under construction and older, established <br /> neighborh s, currently consists of a large, open field with an open drainage way running <br /> through it. he field has been used informally as an off-leash dog area since 1991. <br /> Co struction of the park is anticipated to start in 2005. improvements will be funded in <br /> part by the parks and open space bond measure voters approved in 1998.
