Th play area consists of a play structure, a covered sandbox and picnic table. The project wa nearly completed last summer. All that remained for volunteers this season was tv pour sand n the sandbox and wood chips under the play structure. " e wanted to cxeate a welcoming commons area with a play structure that is both environme tally friendly and aesthetically pleasing," says Davy Ray, the volunteer coordinator of the project and gardener at the site. "These improvements strengthen the sense of community and give a kids something to keep them occupied while giving their parents a stronger feeling of security when gardening."
