Initiated by the City as part of a review of the <br /> system dev lopment charges (SDC) for parks; the survey is specifically designed to identify who <br /> is using pa s, espeaaliy non-resident users, and how they're using them. The survey will be <br /> conducted i the following parks and recreation facilities: Alton Baker Park, Amazon Park, along <br /> Amazon C k, Berkeley Park, Bramblewood Park, downtown park blocks, Echo Hollow Pool, <br /> Hendricks ark, Irwin Park, Meadowlark Prairie, Monroe Park, Oakmont Park, Riverfront Park <br /> System, Sk 'ew Park, Spencer Butte, Tugman Park, University Park, and <br /> Washingto /Jefferson Park. <br /> The project is part of the research and analysis phase of the City's review of parks <br /> SDCs, a pr ss guided by a citizen committee charged with determining the method of funding <br /> the cost of dditional public infrastructure and services related to new growth in the community. <br /> The results will not only help inform the review of these fees charged to new development but <br /> also ongoi g planning efforts for parks, natural areas and recreation facilities. <br /> Th citizen committee has been in existence since the early 1990s. The committee has <br /> completed n update of stormwater, wastewater and transportation SDCs; began the systematic <br /> review of rks SDCs in 2002; and anticipates completing the review in early 2005 to coincide <br /> with the c pletion of a parks, recreation and open space comprehensive plan for Eugene.
