The continued work at West 18"' Avenue and Polk <br /> Street will i volve lane restrictions for another week. <br /> Wo has already begun on East 11 and Kincaid and should continue for the next one <br /> to two wee s. Motors should expect traffic delays, including intermittent lane closures. East <br /> 19"' Avenu and Orchard Street repairs are scheduled to begin the week of May 24~' and <br /> continue th ugh June 4"'. in this work zone, traffic impacts will include barricades and possible <br /> detours. Pease use caution when driving through work zones. <br /> Mai tenance Division staff identified and prioritized this year's concrete street and alley <br /> maintenan using a combination of site inspection information and data from the Pavement <br /> Manageme t System. City road operating funds are used to pay for the repairs to failed <br /> sections of he concrete street system. So far this year, Public Works cxews have repaired <br /> 6,700 squa a feet of concrete streets using approximately 170 cubic yards of concrete. This <br /> includes co Crete panel repairs on Oak Street near 15~' Avenue, and on Polk Street between 7~' <br /> and 10"' av Hues. Maintenance crews work with property and business owners in construction <br /> areas to mi imize any impact the repair work may create. <br /> "Ou street repair team has worked hard to ensure traffic disruptions have been kept to a <br /> minimum," aid Tony Jobanek, street and surface maintenance supervisor.
