Sponsored by the Friends of <br /> Hendricks P rk, the project in Hendricks Park is the second time that Edison students and their <br /> families hav re-surfaced the trail with wood chips since it was constructed three years ago. <br /> The trail was built to help park visitors enjoy the newly emerging wildflowers that blossom in <br /> areas clears of ivy. <br /> This ffort is part of the school's learning service program, which provides an opportunity <br /> for Edison st dents to combine education and service to the community. The purpose of the <br /> Friends of H ndridks Park is to raise awareness of Hendricks Park as a valuable community <br /> and regional resource, provide stewardship in the management of the park by assisting with the <br /> implementat n of the Hendricks Park Forest Management Plan, educate the public about <br /> issues that a ect the park, and generate a broad base of community support for the park.
