Fes ivities will take place at Gilbert Park, located on Gilbert Street near Elmira Road, from 11 a. . to 1 p.m. (formal dedication at 11:30 a.m.); Trainsong Park, located at the end of Edison St et off of Bethel Drive, from noon to 3 p.m. (formal dedication at 1 p.m. and skateboard lessons by Tactics at 1:30 p.m.); and Bethel Community Park, bordered by Legacy Street, Ava on Avenue and Haviture Way, from 1 to 5 p.m. (formal dedication at 3 p.m. and skateboar demonstration by Tactics Board Shop at 3:30 p.m.). Attend and participate in the scavenger unt at ail three parks and be eligible for the grand prize. Pa development or renovation was funded by the 1998 parks and open space bond measure a all three parks. Gilbert Park, a small neighborhood park, consists of a play area, picnic tabl sand field, and evokes a friendly, rural feel with wood rail fences, flower beds bordering t e park, and a wooden arch at one of the entrances to the park. Trainsong Park, also a neighbor ood park, has undergone a significant transformation in the past couple of years. Thanks to a involvement of many community organizations and an active neighborhood associatio , a renovated play area, modular skatepark, balffield, new paths, landscaping, and a i bridge link g the park to the neighboring Red Cross facility have been added.
